      The short version: CostPad stores all your data locally on your device. We do not have user accounts, we do not collect personal information, and we do not send your business data to any server.
    

1. Data Storage

CostPad is a Progressive Web App (PWA) that runs entirely in your browser. All data you enter — products, transactions, settings — is stored in your browser's localStorage. This means:

Your data lives on your device and never leaves it.
There are no user accounts, sign-ups, or logins.
We have no database of your information and cannot access, view, or recover your data.
Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your CostPad data.

2. Advertising

CostPad is free to use. To keep it that way, we display ads through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing activity. You can learn more about how Google uses your information at Google's advertising policies.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your Google Ads Settings or by visiting aboutads.info.

3. Cookies

CostPad itself does not set tracking cookies. However, our advertising partner (Google AdSense) may place cookies on your device for the purpose of serving and measuring ads. These are third-party cookies governed by Google's own privacy policy.

4. Third-Party Payments

If you choose to make a purchase (such as removing ads or unlocking features), payments are handled by LemonSqueezy, a third-party payment processor. When you make a purchase:

You interact directly with LemonSqueezy's checkout.
We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details (credit card number, billing address, etc.).
LemonSqueezy's use of your data is governed by their privacy policy.

5. Information We Do Not Collect

To be explicit, we do not collect:

Names, email addresses, or any personal identifiers
Business or transaction data you enter into the app
Location data
Usage analytics or telemetry

6. Children's Privacy

CostPad is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
